M113FF.COM comes from a genuine love of Manchester City, football and the experience of going to a match. It is not an official Manchester City website and it isn’t intended to replace the club’s own information. Instead, it offers the sort of practical advice that comes from actually making the journey, looking at the options and understanding some of the realities of matchday travel around East Manchester.

Who Is Behind M113FF?

M113FF.COM is created and written by a Manchester City fan based in Market Drayton, Shropshire. My connection with City is personal. My grandad was a Manchester City supporter too, so supporting the club is something that has been part of my life for years.

That personal connection is one of the reasons I wanted M113FF.COM to be more than another generic football travel website. I wanted to create a place based around the actual matchday experience — the journey to Manchester, finding somewhere to park, getting to the Etihad, finding a pub, grabbing something to eat and enjoying the atmosphere before and after the game.

My own journey to the Etihad starts in Market Drayton and normally takes me north through the North West via the M6, M56 and M60. From there, getting into East Manchester and around the stadium can present its own challenges, particularly when thousands of supporters are arriving at roughly the same time.

One of the options I use is Ashton Moss Park & Ride, followed by the Metrolink into East Manchester and the walk towards the stadium along Ashton New Road. It is this sort of first-hand experience that helps shape the guides published on M113FF.COM.
