Manchester City Beat Atletico Madrid 3-1 to End Asia Tour

Manchester City have finished their 2026 Asia Tour in style, beating Atletico Madrid 3-1 at Seoul World Cup Stadium. 💙⚽

In front of more than 50,000 supporters in Seoul, City produced an entertaining performance to sign off their pre-season tour with an impressive victory over the Spanish giants.

Marmoush turns the game around

Atletico Madrid took the lead shortly before half-time through Jorge Dominguez, despite City creating several opportunities during the opening period.

City continued to dominate possession after the break and eventually got their reward just before the hour mark.

Antoine Semenyo showed excellent pace and strength to beat his marker before delivering the ball across the box, allowing Omar Marmoush to slide home the equaliser.

Just moments later, Semenyo was involved again. After being played in behind, the winger squared the ball for Marmoush, who calmly finished to complete his brace and put City ahead.

Ait-Nouri seals the win

City continued to control the game and added a third goal late on.

Rayan Ait-Nouri burst into the Atletico box and fired a low finish into the far corner to make it 3-1 and put the result beyond doubt.

There was even time for the travelling City supporters to celebrate with a round of chants as the team closed out an excellent night in Seoul.

A memorable Asia Tour

The victory brought City’s time in Asia to an end after almost two weeks in the Far East.

From Hong Kong to Seoul, thousands of supporters turned out for matches, open training sessions and fan activities. The incredible reception once again showed just how strong the global Manchester City fanbase has become.

For City fans, there is plenty to be excited about. New signings have made an impression, the team has continued to develop under Enzo Maresca, and the competitive season is now just around the corner.

Next stop: the Community Shield

With pre-season now complete, Manchester City’s attention turns to the Community Shield, where they will face Arsenal at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

The 2026/27 Premier League season follows shortly afterwards, and City fans will be hoping this successful tour is the beginning of another memorable campaign.

What a way to finish the Asia Tour. Come on, City! đź’™
